My
Story
I remember myself as a little girl trying to be a teacher to my dolls. Later on, I was always trying to help my classmates in any difficulties they had in the lesson, trying to simplify the ‘problem’ convincing them that what seemed hard, is actually very simple if you see it from a different angle. In the age of five I kept asking my mom to take me to ballet lessons. Thus, I got into the dance world from the age of six and since then I loved it so much that I never stopped.
During my school years, one of my favourite lessons was Biology. I was so fascinated about how the body functions. When I started having body injuries because of dance, I realised the physical and psychological importance of having a healthy body. It was around that time that I have heard about GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® and I started searching about it. Then, I moved in Florence, Italy to study dance. During the three years of my studies; I found my love about choreography and I also came closer to the GYROTONIC® technique.
The last year in the Academy, I decided to take the GYROTONIC® Level 1 course to become a Trainer, in which I decided to take part of the course in Florence and then in Athens. This gave me the opportunity to learn how to teach in three different languages: Italian, English, Greek. It was on that moment that I realised that everything I did until then in my life, really came together like a puzzle forming up slowly.
Coming back in Cyprus, I decided to open my own studio to help people exercise through this innovative method. At the same time I want to keep growing as a trainer, thus I as of today I am a GYROKINESIS® Trainer and GYROTONIC® Pre-Trainer.
'I like to think of myself as a creative person who wants to transmit my knowledge to others helping them in any way possible, either through dance or the Gyrotonic technique.'
